RFID tags are small transponders that contain the RFID markings as saved data, and transmit these to RFID readers by radio. RFID tags contain the processor, memory and the transmission/receiver equipment.
RFID transponders are a key element in each RFID installation. There is not just one transponder for all requirements. The material that a transponder is to be attached to has a decisive influence on the performance of the RFID transponder. This can mean that transponders that are labelled as being suitable for attachment to plastic containers, are not necessarily suitable for attachment to metallic surfaces. Conversely, an on-metal RFID transponder on a non-metallic surface will provide extremely reduced performance. On top of that, there are also the influences of the surrounding environment such as heat, moisture, mechanical stress, etc. that the transponder needs to cope with and resist. That is why there is a large number of differently constructed passive transponders providing different performance. Depending on the characteristics of the object to be tagged and the individual requirements, we will choose the model that is best suited to your application.
