RFID readers, which can also write data depending on the particular model, generate an energy field of high-frequency electromagnetic waves which the RFID transponder (RFID tag) is exposed to, via a connected antenna.
RFID readers (writing/reading devices) for passive UHF-RFID – often also only described as a “reading device” – generate an energy field of electromagnetic waves via a connected antenna. As soon as a passive UHF transponder makes its way into the energy field, it sends what it has saved to the corresponding RFID reader until such time that it leaves the field again. Besides RFID readers for remote antennas, there are also RFID readers with integrated antennas or mobile variations, so-called handheld readers. Our well trained and experienced project managers will inform you which reader is the right one for your project – free of charge of course.
